In times of stress, Stephy could not help remembering her last year of schooling, and particularly one of her instructors, Roberta.
This woman made her life hell, particularly in combat classes.

In hand-to-hand, Stephy was known as an easy opponent to take down. She wasn't strong, nor was she devious, and she always ended up bruised and humiliated at the end of a contest.
Stephy was proving to be an excellent pilot, easily one of the top three in her class. But she couldn't fight, or shoot, to save herself. So Roberta began to take her for extra lessons.

To Stephy, this was torture. Roberta would shout at her, belittle her, make her repeat exercises and tasks endlessly. Stephy fantasised about running away to be a smuggler.
But one day, Stephy realised that things had begun to come together. The pistol which had felt so heavy and awkward in her hands became familiar. Wrestling principles became clearer, and she became fitter and stronger.

I haven't had much time for this stuff, so I'm going to probably put up a few of the renders I did this year but didn't post, because they didn't fit, or that I forgot about! Hope the season's madness is agreeable!
