Featured in my journal!

Voyage to the unknown - UrbexThe idea of the "Voyage to the unknown" project is to browse through a category or sub-category that you don't necessarily visit frequently, or that you browse the least, collect some of the pictures you find stands out, and feature them in your journal!
More information in this journal:
Everyone can join this project! This time, I chose the category Photography/Urban & Rural/Urbex! And you... which category would you choose?
( Urbex: Urban exploration involves places that are usually out of reach; places that are no longer in operation, wasted, ruined or abandoned. )

Hi, great work. Was wondering if I could use one of your pictures for an album cover. It's just a short album I'm making myself, but your work would fit the look I'm going for. Please let me know. Thanks!

That's a nice TV, pity people don't make modern ones that look like that...

I know this is an old comment. But I bet that TV still works. Might need some vacuum tubes replaced and a little cleaning but it looks like it's in good shape.

Thing that's a real shame is one time I explored an abandon house me and my friends found in the boondocks. It had a few antique TV's Including a Philco Predicta. And some vandal destroyed them all.

That's sad.

Yeah. It's slowly collapsing. One of the porches caved in so who knows how long it'll last.

Wait ignore that last comment. I thought you were commenting on this picture I posted of an abandon house. xxjesselovesgiaxx.deviantart.c…

But anyway it is sad. I wish vandals would leave nice things alone. Especially that Philco. Those go for good money on Ebay.

My grandma had the very same mirror, I think it was built-in part of her furniture. The scene is really interesting as displays props dating back to probably 70ties, which is now more than 50 years old. Vintage things, indeed.

Great shot!

yes, furniture is from this era. Thanks!

I made this link with socialism because in former Yugoslavia were homes equipped with furniture of the same style as those on your picture.
Is it from the time of socialistic Czechoslovakia?

I've browsed through a lot of pictures which you have uploaded on Flicker and I am really impressed by them. It's really interesting to see how can time decay structures which are left unused for decades.

I would love to see more of your best shots from the flicker gallery on your dA profile ^_^

Thanks a lot for interest
I do find those places visually attractive not mentioning all the stories they can tell (or you can imagine some more )

I'll try to upload more frequently, thanks again

You're welcome.
That's exactly why those photos are so interesting, because of the stories they are telling!
Well I'm looking forward toward all your new endeavors of the lost Slovakian places.

Well not all photos are from Slovakia, I do quite a lot of travelling because of forgotten places. Cheers

Really, really love it. Do you know Luigi Ghirri? He was an amazing italian photographer, in the seventies-eighties. It looks like one of his photos

well not that house, I meant this house as in this one house I was in. Lol. Did you take the TV? Cause I would have. I could use the vacuum tubes for my amp

soho42 In reply to PunkFromMarz [2012-10-17 14:01:01 +0000 UTC]

Nope, I didn't, I wouldn't have particular use of it (except that it looks cool ) but I hope that if somebody else will visit the place, they can enjoy same scenery as I did.
