Happy 2016 everyone!Over the Christmas holiday I managed to fill up the Tree Stump House with 3 more gnomes and also a snail, plus I made a comfy chair. This has been a project of mine a couple years in the making. If you follow my facebook page for dollhouses then I don't need to fill you in much. The 2 gnomes on the left are named after my Great Aunt (102yrs) and my father (82yrs) both alive and full of life and this was my tribute to both of them.
I write up little stories and photograph scenes of them in the Tree Stump House.
For example Gnomey and Ahti made Katri a chair and moved it in,
or Ahti on his way over for a cup of good strong Finnish coffee early in the morning
The journey has really just begun. I hope you will follow along! There's lots to make to get this house fully furnished and much life to live in the forest.
I do my very best to tell or show how I make things, like the dollhouse itself, I do have some tutorials for that.
The fake bark ,
The wooden floors ,
and so on. I always announce on my facebook page when I have a new tutorial or project in the making.

On Jan 1st my cousins and my Aunt gathered together in Finland for their celebrations of the new year and they all looked at the stories together. My cousin told me that my Aunt laughed and cried and really enjoyed seeing herself in Gnome form and she said she thinks she will have a good life in the forest, haha I couldn't have asked for a better response! It really touched my heart!
And my father too, he was so touched by it all. That was my dream and it's even better than I imagined it would be. And now it all has so much sentimental value to me, the dollhouse and the little Gnomes living inside. I feel so grateful for that
