I kind of lost my head when I first played 'Mount&Blade' about 2 years ago, since then I'm an addict.This picture was my first response.

Thanks! This was drawn several years ago when M&B had no multiplayer, but still I played it _a lot_. To say it's addictive is to say nothing. Months just disappear

Buying Warband is positively worth its money. It has rebuilt single player with lots of great new features compared to the old M&B and a totally awesome multiplayer. Sieges with a hundred players are beyond words

Addicted? Almost lost my mind! Thanks to my job and other things that inspire me to draw, now I have much less spare time for M&B. But still kicking from time to time
As a faithful fan, I've bought it from official website for 29.99 to support developers directly, but direct2drive.com for instance asks 24.95.

Hey, another fan! Yay! I would strongly advise to play native first. When you know it all the way around - then it's time for mods, for mods mostly add new units, weapons and stuff and rarely change the setting in major way.. You wouldn't feel it properly if you haven't played Native for some time.. Native is great for its quality, in this most mods are way behind it.
But when you know Native good, mods are nice thing to try.
My personal preferences are with the historical mods and maybe the best of them for me is

Mount and Blade is a good game. Storming towns never gets old.

Yeah! Not that storming towns was my favorite part (AI often sucks there), but it is a great part of gameplay, no doubts. I like the game overall and it never gets old with all these mods coming around.
