Continuing to push decidedly from an emphasis on structure to one on rhythm by abandoning methodical construction and simply letting go to feel - and draw - the flow. While it sounds simple, the fact is that I spent years practicing with construction methods until they were engrained. So to say I've abandoned them is not true; I simply don't think about them. Sooner or later one has to nail down one or the other, structure or rhythm. They don't grow at the same pace, so one is always outpacing the other. The trick is to know when it's time to shift weight to the other foot, as when walking, to establish a range of balance - not let them get too far apart.
