Description Didn't really know what to label this one. Yet again, an AP piece. I started with a little graffiti-ish design, and then thought is would be fun to hide birds in the graffiti. Can you guess how many birds are in the painting?

Anyway, the white wings are bits of newspaper cut into wing shapes and painted over with some white and glossy medium. I picked out those bits of paper for what the words said. The bird/graffiti part is also glossed over, which didn't come out in this picture of the painting.

Materials: newspaper, acrylic paint, a glossy medium of some sort), canvas board
Time: good question

This was eventually gifted to my dad, who was rather fond of it.

All the red and birds, and firey colors made me think of Phoenixes, thus the title.

I remember this one! I remember how it was still wet and it got on a couple of our fingers.

yeah, you can see little finger-tip sized parts on the edges that are slightly lighter than the rest. I don't think you can really tell in this picture, but I know they're there!
