I've been dreaming of drawing this scene for ages!
Because zutara was doomed from the very beginning.
So, once Aang finds out the glorious zutarian truth he goes on the epic avatar rampage.

Oh man, you know I love this but you would not BELIEVE the hate-Zutara rant message this work got from someone on Tumblr. I wish I had taken a screencap for you, because it was simultaneously amusing and infuriating.
This is gorgeous and it's a shame people can't lighten up and just enjoy it for the beautiful work of art that it is!

I wonder though, how come it could produce hate from anti-zutarians - because it pained me, and pained greatly to draw this, being a (obviously!
So I wouldn't be surprised in the least if pro-zutarians told me I broke their hearts.
Though I'd retort I had my own broken, so we're even...
However - it seems pro-zutarians are all (just as always, which fills me with joy and gratitude for all of us! 
I wish I had any use in tumblr to be there

As someone who ships all the ships, including both Kataang and Zutara, allow me to try and esplahn: Kataangers of course dislike Zutara on principle, but most believe that Aang freaking out so badly as to go into the Avatar state and threaten them is completely OOC. OOC-ness occurring in Zutara art and fanfiction is something that is often cited as a reason for why the ship does not work and why Kataang is better. I'm the simultaneously lucky and unlucky one who ships both. I don't think OOC-ness is a prerequisite for Zutara, since the possibility of a relationship was there between them, but the creators stuck with their own vision of a Kataang relationship. Also, it annoys the Kataangers that Zutara has so much more epicness since the enormous breadth of Zutara's popularity has allowed for more art to be made and fics written, thereby it should statistically have more of a higher quality. However, the percentage of quality fanwork within both ships is going to be the same, but since Zutara is out of a larger 100%, there will be more.
Oh god. The AP classes are getting to me. Do you think I could write my senior thesis/college essay on A:TLA shipping? I gotta give that a shot.

What gets me is the fact that the person is whining about getting the art in their "inbox" which I'm assuming means they follow one of the groups you submitted the work to. I follow a few AtLA groups on here, and often I see art I don't like, but that doesn't make me go off on a childish rant of hatred.
This fandom--what?
It's gotten to the point that some genius actually made a blog on Tumblr called STFUZutara which is deliberately out to troll Zutara fans. The ridiculous levels some people will go to never fails to amaze me somehow. I wouldn't suggest going to Tumblr if you can help it--too many kids.
Anyway, this image is striking and gorgeous. I think it speaks to the fact that Aang *would* react this way, or at least react radically to Katara being with anyone but him, not just Zuko. It's not meant to be about "do ho ho ho let's make fun of the people who like Aang or Kataang" anyone reading that into it needs to take a chill pill. There's a reason it's called "fanart".
Long story short--you keep rocking the amazing artwork

And that - meh, I tend to write comments more lengthy than that
Believe it or not, there were some hardcore kataangers who added me to their devwatch.
Who are they? - masochists or latent zutarians - we'll never know, I'm afraid (not that I care this much 
As for flooding the inboxes - meh, childish whining - either unwatch the group or use the Alt+F4 more frequently
My personal opinion on Aang's reaction to zutara actually exceeds very much what's shown in the image
Because I care deeply about fragile kids and their fluffy innocent souls and don't draw all the blood and gore the original idea implies
I can however try to understand people protecting the character they somehow love and respect - but when they cross the borders of their (infinite of course
In a nutshell, I believe the real shipping wars are only legitimate in terms of making classy arts.
Whinings and offensive messages simply don't count
Only art rules it all.

I don't agree with what they said about hating Zutara unilaterally, but I have to agree with their interpretation of the characters' positions and Aang's behavior. He would absolutely be upset, but it would be completely contrary to his personality and outlook to have such an extreme reaction.

I love what you do with colors and how you draw the characters. It's just so fantastic that I am forced to comment to let you know how fantastic even though I pretty much really don't like the idea of zutara.
Still that said, this work is aces. Love Zuko's sculpted abs, love Aang in all his righteous fury and the swirl around him and his glowing marks. It's all just so so amazing

Okay, I loooove your style! The vibrant use of colors and the way that you draw the characters is fantastic. They come across a little older, a little more mature and much more realistic. I adore this particular piece the powerful use of emotions in all three of them and the way that you linked it to "Blood" is wonderful I love backstories ^_^ and yours is much more interesting than what we saw happen. The idea that the Avatar he who is to protect all in the name of balance and harmony allowing earthly feelings to overwhelm him and attempt to destory something that was in fact perfect balance? i.e. Zutara the perfect balance of fire and water two powerful destructive enemies (usually)
