And yet I'm absolutely enamoured with it

poor Konan... she never honestly WAS bad, like the other Akatsuki members (to a fault) so her dying to save Yahiko and Nagato from Obito as well as to try and support Naruto makes her death incredibly sad and tragic.

Konan is my ever favouritest Narutoverse lady
What I cherish most about stories like hers woven into the intricate web of naruto characters and situation is the whole grey morality of it all - what's good for some is bad for others and vice-versa, what one does to struggle for survival - others regard as an attack (and rightfully so); and the clash goes on through generations. Therein the beauty of the author's writing lies, in all the greys inbetween the accentuated blacks and whites.

your ability with colours never seize to amaze me! those highlights, the intensity of the colours... just speechless!

Really scary idea, but considering how far he is shown to go for love... it might be possible to be done while keeping him in character. They make for an interesting, albeit dark pairing.
