i don't believe he ever had a love interest. grindelwald might have been a totally one-sided infatuation, but i believe dumbledore never fell in love, so it fits that he's last

excactly! but i do think he may have had a crush on grndy, and i think grindy took that to his advantage to get him to do what he wants, but i never think he felt the same way. or that anythign came of it.

lol yeah! i never thought it was important though, cause i don't think dumbledore ever pursued or had a relationship with anybody. i think he was attracted to grindlewal and kind of idolized him, but i have a very hard time believeing there was anytihg at all more than that. i think she said he was gay just to show how very different from everyone else he was, and also, it gives hope to gay kids right, someone to look up to almost. the most powerful and intelligent wizard since merlin was gay? well if he was successful...

Yeah, exactly. It's just like on of those fun little sidenotes she slips in, like that family tree of the next gen characters she drew up once she'd finished the 7th book, it was kind of just for closure for herself, but the way she thought out every single person in the books so well, you can find all this cool stuff if you look hard enough, and that's amazing
