Description My first charcoal/pencil drawing.

I don't really know what paper is best to use with charcoal/penciling, so i just used an sketchbook for aquarelle. Wasn't really the best choice after all, still learning though

Original paper size: 297 x 420mm 180gr./m2
Tools: charcoal pencils + blue colored pencils
And my own eye's

If you have an suggestion on what paper to use with charcoal and/or pencil, please let me know!

This is great! Love it!
Charcoal is pretty good on any paper really, but you can get some pastel paper which it will do really well on, and I used to use brown paper, literally cheap brown paper, and it was really effective on that. You want a paper that has a good tooth and I guess heavier papers are good, but it doesn't need to be, it works well on anything, even board and canvas too. Just go with the flow and keep on using your charcoal on whatever you want! But do make sure you get a fixative spray so it doesn't rub off. Hope that helps a bit
