Description

Name: Tasroi

Pronouns: She/Her

Age: 22

Height: 4’11”(149.86cm)

Race: Half-Elf

Class: Life Domain Cleric

Background: Folk Hero

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Personality:

Positive:

Cheerful|Open|Witty

Tasroi is usually a very cheery and bright-eyed lass always wanting to brighten someone’s day. Given the chance, she would happily take time out of her own day, even with events planned, to spend time with someone that seemed like they needed someone around. After all, in her eyes, no one should have dark thoughts looming for too long. The half-elf wears her heart on her sleeve and will not hide anything and will openly talk about how she is either currently feeling or answer how she feels about certain topics whether it is big or small. Tasroi does have her wits about her and will try to come up with a solution to a situation, even in a panic because to her even a panicked solution can be a good solution so long as she’s still conscious to say it.

Neutral:

Ambitious|Humble

Ambition is the name of the game and Tasroi is full of it and sometimes is a little too full of it. She’ll often find herself going into situations where she’s put in more than she signed up for, but she does want to jump in and help anyway she can when she’s capable. Being not the most confident person around Tasroi will usually downplay any real achievement of hers, primarily due to usually slipping up when it's most important. But when she knows for a fact that she did a job well done she’s an excitable little ball of energy.

Negative:

Anxious|Dependent|Naive

Though she’s ready to do anything once she’s committed to doing anything out of her comfort zone reality hits her and begins to slowly shrink back into herself. Especially since she is new to adventuring and so eager to help this happens quite often. Tasroi tends to rely on others to help her in most scenarios where she feels out of place which is more often than not, it's a matter of knowing someone is with her as a sense of comfort. With how trusting the girl is she is very easily fooled, she’ll take most gossip and the like as fact unless someone tells her that what was said is a lie. That's not to say she won’t question someone if it sounds too far-fetched but if a good enough argument, as in the minimal effort placed into it, will still convince her otherwise.

History:

Tasroi was born in a small village in Marwani spending her days helping her family with the farm, which meant tending to the crops and animals. Since the farm was their source of revenue, the half-elf would accompany her father to Omadev to help with trade. A lot of time was spent traveling back and forth from her home to the city, leading to Tasroi learning the dangers of the road and what to look out for if she ever left home without her father, which she eventually ended up doing.

A day had come when Tasroi chose to leave home alone, much to the dismay of her parents. She claimed that she had been following the same route long enough with her father that she would be okay enough to go on her own because to her she thought that eventually, she would have to go on her own, and now seemed like the appropriate time to do so to gain some form of independence. Her parents agreed to this on the condition that Tasroi would wait to go with the village caravan as they were still worried for their daughter and they know how their daughter gets once the reality of a situation comes through. Excited at the prospect of being able to go on her own and do business for her family she waited for the local traders to gather and leave. The day had gone rather well, making a significant profit from crops and other goods and it was time to go back home…however, while the half-elf was busy making a profit for the day the other traders had gone back to the village without her. Not that she could blame them, she did get caught up in doing everything on her own, but this just meant that she could travel back on her own and prove that she could do it on her own. And so she went on a journey home and all seemed well until some clattering and banging were heard. The noise was far too loud to have been one of something and to have been made by something small, now was not the time to be distracted by something. If she left the path now there was no telling if the young girl would get lost or not. Staying on course for home the air felt heavy, something was off and it was unsettling, that’s when it came into view. Her village, destroyed, right before her eyes, Tasroi, stunned by what she was seeing stood there in awe for a moment…then another…and another before finally snapping back into attention and rushing to her house. Praying her parents were unharmed, tears in her eyes, Tasroi slammed open the door only to see two lifeless figures on the ground. The young girl fell to her knees and began to cry, her home, her family, all of it gone in an instant. It wasn’t but Tasroi couldn’t help but believe that it was all because she had stayed longer than everyone else none of this would have happened. Struck with grief and nothing else, the feeling of tears rolling down her face and crashing on the backs of her hands all she could do was stare at the floor. Not paying any mind to her surroundings, something had entered the building with rapid footsteps getting closer and closer, but as Tasroi began to turn around there was nothing there. That was until an arrow flew past her face with a loud squelch from behind. She was shocked for a moment before looking to see a dead goblin on the ground, a solid shot planted at the bridge of its nose. A man entered with a bow in hand followed by another man and a woman. The woman paid no mind to the sad village girl as she walked by; however, the much larger of the two men knelt in front of the half-elf and consoled Tasroi before a thud was heard, again from behind. The three strange people had saved her life but she was too grief-stricken to even say anything. When told to follow as they would take her somewhere safe the farm girl obliged and followed suit.

The adventurers that had saved her left her in the city of Lumivaara in the hands of a Church that followed Ilmater, they thought it’d be the safest place to leave her. Tasroi, without any real resistance to the idea, agreed and was accepted with arms. During her time living amongst the Ilmatari, she primarily resided in her room, only to be visited by the Revered Father of the House, Riza Kelsys, a half-elf much like herself but was far older than she was, who consistently checked in to see if she had been processing her current mental state any better than when she first arrived. This act brought a sense of comfort to her whenever he came to visit, she enjoyed their chats together even if it was as simple as peeking in through a cracked door and saying hello before leaving. Tasroi would on rare occasions leave her room and watch as the clergy of the church did their duties of healing and taking care of the sick and wounded as well as seeing a few make their way to donate what food and drink they had to the less fortunate, needless to say, this sparked a little interest of the faith in the young half-elf. On one of her rare outings to observe, Riza had caught her walking about and asked if she would like to accompany him for his duties of the day. With a small nod, Tasroi followed the older man around as he tended to the sick and made his way around donating food to the less fortunate. Seeing how even the smallest treatment or the smallest amount of food made people feel as if their lives were going for the better made the young girl wonder if she would be able to do that herself or even be able to prevent what happened to her from happening to others. As they made their way back for the evening Tasroi asked if they were willing to let her join the faith. Riza saw no reason to decline the girl outright but she would have to be initiated to see if her feelings were true enough to their cause. She was asked to go for a walk with one of the senior priests and questioned about her views on life to which she explained that people’s suffering should at least be eased so they can keep going in their life, after which she was asked to drink some wine as to make sure there were no underlying notions of deceit. Thankfully the initiation process went well and Tasroi was admitted to the church and underwent training in the healing ways with which she struggled. Day after day she was eager to learn and sometimes she was successful to learn and other times she was trying her best. The more time went on the more comfortable she became with the faith and the more uplifted she felt seeing how far she progressed.

A year passed and Tasroi’s training had come far more or less, there are still some areas she was a little shaky in but she had become a lot more confident in what she could do. Riza as well as the other Ilmatari we’re proud of how far she had come ever since being brought to their door. Riza knew full well that Tasroi had much more to learn not only about the faith but also about those around her, so he pointed her off to an Adventurer’s guild not too far off to help aid people across the vast land. Unsure if she was that ready to go out on her own Riza assured her that she was more than ready to see what she could offer the world. And with a small smile on her face and newfound motivation, she set off to help everyone she could.
