Very cool. Looks like you only wasted time on details you wanted the viewer to look at. Was the slight warm to cool gradation of color just a happy accident of your scanner?

there's something womderfully free, easy going and loose about your style here. they way you alludde to the houses in the background with lazy squares really adds tot he great sense of depth this image manages to encompas. worth noting is the small, female figure at the bottom of the hill. the fact she's so clean and free of detail also adds to the sense of space within the picture and you really feel as though she's set far deeper within it.
looking at the guy in the foreground, you really get the sense that you're feeling your way around his form with your pen, what with the sheer sketchiness of your approch. it really dose help to build up tthe texture of his shirt while the uniform strokes on his arm add a sense of direction to the limb. the only thing to bitch about would be that the detail is possibly comprimised by your sylish approch. it is, after all, a tad difficult to make out just what it is he's got clasped in his hand.

That is a really nice drawing. Very accomplished. Is there a strange female form emerging from the sleeve of his right arm? I love the figure of the woman in the middle distance, looking up the hill at the character you have drawn.
It's just a really good bit of drawing.

The perspective in this is amazing, nice use of color... the best part though is the emotion in the scene. I like this very much...

This drawing looks sort of like an anime-scene.
