Description Good evening everyone! Here's a shot I took last spring in the woods of Porvoo, Finland. There's nothing much eyecatching in this shot. I just wanted to show you the life on the ground in a Finnish forest. There are many different kinds of small plants that don't really make a whole lot of "noise" about their existence down there, and I find it really exciting to explore them.

Thank you for sharing a part of the world with folks like me who will more than likely never step foot there. This is one of the reasons I love photography.

I love this photo! As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I instantly knew it was a fav. Beautiful!!! I love perspectives like that.

I love Finland - I remember when I used to live in Russia and we would visit Finland often. I was 6, but all I remember is it was really clean and neat, and everyone was really friendly. And the forests were beautiful. Anyhow. Finland is awesome

Vihdoin joku ottanut kuvan aiheesta! Ja vieläpä ihan pahuksen komean kuvan. On tullut muutama kymmentä kertaa tuijotettua samanlaisia näkymiä, jään läpi tai turvallaan pöpelikössä ja toivottua, että tuon saisi tallennettua.

Mmm. I know what you mean. Last time I was in Finland (Skogby abouts,) I spent something like 5 films of camera just walking around the woods.

[link] This is a map of the place. It's pretty near Helsinki. I'm not all that sure- some of my relations live there etc. Next to a huge 14x1km lake/estuary....I like to call it 'paradise.'

Hehe, that is more closer to Tammisaari and Hanko it seems. From the map I would say it's about 200km from Helsinki.

I remember Tammisaari, the 'saari' which is not on an island. Also known as Ekenas. Yeah, we went shopping there!
Next month, I go there again. Lucky me!

How upsetting! But I do plan to stay in Helsinki for some time, also North in Ingo, and then onwards to Aland. That is why your seascapes are so moving to me, for they remind me of my time there last year. [link] The picture is bad quality, but you can see what I mean.

Ingo is not north. It's by the south coast, hehe. Actually near Ekenäs. Aland is supposed to be beautiful.

I love seascapes, and it's nice to know people that do too.
