This is an amazing depiction of how Korra had the upper hand in her fight against Kuvira until she gazed down at a manifestation of herself. I agree with Jinora on her question;

"If the mercury is out of her body, why is she still afraid of herself?" Had Korra remained in this state, the Earth Kingdom would be free from Kuvira's rule.
