Description A tombstone belonging to Anna Wilson and Dan Allen. According to a post that is next to the grave says as it follows:

"Dan Allen was a riverboat gambler who was reputed consort of the most famous Madame in Omaha, Anna Wilson. Dan came to Omaha in 1866 and within five years was running the largest and most popular gambling house in Omaha. Anna was a "Madam" who became known as the "Queen of the Underworld" although she was reportedly a lady of refinement and culture. When Dan died, she tended his grave faithfully. When Anna died in 1911, she left her large estate to various hospitals and charities, including Prospect Hill Cemetery. Her "house" on 9th and Douglas Streets became Omaha's charity hospital. At the annual Memorial Day Observance, a yellow rose is placed at her grave with appropriate eulogy and music, continuing a practice that began in 1912 by Mrs. Thomas Kimball, mother of the famed architect and noted community benefactor."
*Note: Prospect Hill is where Omaha's well-known figures are laid to rest and the city's oldest cemeteries
