I think this artwork is quite good. I like the black and white effect with a sudden splash of color that really impacts the viewers. This artist did a great job at catching the wave at this time, without it there wouldn't be as much impact. As for the color, I think it draws away from the wave a little too much, a little less vibrance would have been better, maybe a blue or green or a pale red/pink would have been better. However I still like the red because it "pops" and catches your eye, making you notice the model. This art fits into real life because if you aren't active or you're always hiding in your shadow/behind your mask, you will miss out on cool events. Overall, I think this piece is quite good. But the concept has been used before, but not often. I'd give 3.5- 4/5 stars. which is a B or B+ in my book. (:
