Goblyn 17aa quick look back, while still moving forward.
I admitted to my friend and often times editor ~thatLD ,
that I was both excited and nervous about this issue.
the story is coming to a serious turning point.
a point where things about many of the characters will be revealed, and from that point on there will be no turning back. for them or for me.
I always had a couple of paths I wanted to go down, with each character... I just never thought i would finally get to that point where things stopped going uphill and started leveling out.
I'm both excited and nervous about the near future for these characters, maybe because I know what awaits them. not only in the coming year... but through out the rest of the series.
either way... this issue is a symbolic threshold, and I hope we all enjoy what's on the other side as we step over it.

J's mask is creepy as hell, yet supremely AWESOME! Also, Jeph's childhood seems... interesting. I can see why he's so messed up now.

Also, will we ever find out what 'J' stands for? Maybe it's like in The Simpsons, where the 'J' in Homer's name was actually 'Jay'.
And I will join the camp that thinks Little!Jeph is adorable.
Oh, uh, actual comic opinion. I like it, but it does raise a lot of questions. It doesn't bother me, though, because they're interesting questions. (Raising questions is fine to me, as long as they're not, 'How does that make sense?' questions, which I don't think I've seen you do.)

i'm not that good at crafting stuff in 3 dimensions. heh
yeah... eventually we'll all know what the J stands for.
nothing serious. just a name. but it's a part of the story so... in time.

yah, the questions that are supposed to be answered aren't coming along fast enough, so it seems like they just keep piling up, but they all lay out to this long form story. "sigh"
thankfully these issues coming up will answer a good couple of the old questions.

i'm trying not to plug in too many more mysteries and questions, but the flow of the story just has it so that so many pop up before they really get answered.
why do i love mystery so much?... WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!?

i was nervous partly because of the amount of emotion injected into this ish...
but it was necessary to really give rise to the things that shaped Jeph.

it's a logik artifact too.
not like Sank tho... Sank is special, because he has free will.
that mask is a prison.
i'll definitely get more into detail on logik artifacts, because they are about to become part of the main focus in this story arc.

we all can understand on some level.
and all the characters have something or somethings they are dealing with.

Now that I think about, inner struggles helps to define the characters morality.
So I guess it wouldn't be a generic concept for an OC to have since it's something we face everyday!

Aaah, this issue is amazing! Love the flashbacks, I feel so bad for them both...and I love seeing more of Jeph and his grandma's backstories. Also, that page where we get a closeup of the skull, with the three glowing blue eyes...FANTASTIC. Creepy as hell, and fantastic. Love this, can't wait for more! ;D
