I've been struggling with Digital painting lately and it's been frustrating me. So I thought to try something different for a change.

When I paint with traditional medium I only use Watercolor, but this time I decided to try Acrylic which I've never used before. I have an old painting set that I never used, just some cheap paints and brushes with basic colors in little tubes. But I figured it was enough. I also had a wooden plaque that was supposed to be used for wood burning but I decided to just use it for this test painting.

To give me some idea of how to actually paint with Acrylics I followed along this video as best I could: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7sD3z…
Took about three hours. The size of the plaque is 5x7. And I used PS afterwards to darken the black background behind the plaque.

So, I think it's alright for a first try. My biggest issue was not having the proper brushes so I struggled a little. - Funny 'cause that's what's been frustrating me with my digital painting is PS in the first place >:[ But meh... I might have to go buy some since I had fun painting this.
