Description
By the year 2848, the International Colonial Guard was finally ready to begin production of their own military vehicles, instead of the hand me downs they were used to using. Due a lack of heavy production infrastructure and a general lack of funds, the ICG couldn’t afford to create specialized vehicles for numerous purposes, so instead took the route of cheaper, more general purpose vehicles. The Hyena IFV was the first of such vehicles, capable of carrying 6 soldiers and equipment and armed with a 25mm chain gun(center turret) and dual .50 cal machine gun for fire support. The design focused on speed and agility over defense, which allowed for further cost reductions in the armor department. If that wasn’t enough, the Hyena is also equipped with anti-tank missiles(left turret) and guided anti-air missiles(right turret), allowing it to act somewhat as a tank destroyer / anti-air vehicle. Why waste money on 3 specialized vehicles when you can just get 1 that can do all three things (albeit poorly).
