I did notice something different about the costume.
I have always had this outfit depicted with no support straps near her hips. Like in the following pic:

And here:

And this pic, as well:

It is not that big of a deal, though. I like seeing different artist's interpretations of her tiny costume, and yours really rocks! You can keep those little "hip-straps" on her costume. (In real life, that miniscule outfit would likely just fall off if Monica made any sudden moves, anyway! Ha!)

Ah! Those hip-straps made me ponder a while, indeed! You see I wanted to have the slicker-looking V-kini, without the hips, but the closet piece of clothing I had available was what you see. I can make the hip-straps transparent, meaning there would be no lower support, which isn't a problem since your freequest only requires a front-shot.
But I just hate making characters that wouldn't look right from all angles! I also take solace in the fact that these hip-straps have appeared in other drawings:

I kind of like the costume variety, it gives her a classic air, like her costume is the work of many artists over many decades.

Your images did not work for me, for some reason, but yes, you are correct, some artists have depicted the costume in that fashion. I do like having some different interpretations.
About costume variety -- you are spot-on with that remark! You see, the Panther Girl/Monica Campbell character is actually decades old -- I came up with her in the early 1970s -- I just never had an artist depict her until early 2006. I initially saw her as a companion to Shanna the She-Devil; she would have been a slightly-super-strong jungle-girl type character, and I did not originally picture her wearing a mask/cowl. Also, she wore her hair in an afro, which was a popular hairstyle in that era! I keep meaning to have one of my artist friends to depict my original conception of the character, I just never have gotten around to it!
So, there is no need to make the hip-straps transparent. I eagerly await the chloroform pic!
I will be offline until early tomorrow morning -- it has been fun communicating with you!

That sounds good! No need to be in a hurry about the pic.
(I don't always even get online at all over the weekend, anyway...)

Wow! Wow! Wow!
She looks utterly fantastic!
Thank you very much. It seems that you have resolved
any issues that you may have had earlier regarding
Panther Girl's mask/cowl. You really did a spectacular
job with my sexy, distress-prone character!
