I should also mention how the Evil Mario in Super Mario Sunshine was mistaken for the real one in it and nobody seemed to care. Showing more of the double standards for Mario and Sonic.

Another silly reason to hate Amy: "She shows her panties and it's PERVERTED!1!11!11".

Then I ask: if her pantyshots are soooooooooooo perverted, why do you think about them too much?

This kind of character shaming is very condescending in fandoms. Yes, I do agree from a fan perspective that Amy can be annoying when she's flanderized as such. However. Most of these complains, much like what your pointed out that fans use are such hypocritical context they fail to even have meaning behind it. People are looking at this like Amy being color blind is a bad thing, isn't that kind of insulting people who have color blindness? As the fandom doing this is just insulting them.

I so agree with this meme. Character shaming often only happens to female characters in which hypocritical expositions are made and when defending other characters for similar actions they use any excuse they can just to hate their character more. This is the exact reason why character shaming is bad nowadays. They poorly mislead context or actual wording of what the character is doing and judge based of shallow views. This is the exact stuff fans do to Amy when it comes to the mistaken identity thing. 

I'm glad you posted this because I agree. Eggman deserves as much flak as Amy does, but he was not only closer to Shadow when it happen, but he saw him face to face when it happened. Fans will use "But he had smoke" as an excuse, ignoring the fact the smoke cleared out before Eggman saw Shadow. Not to mention G.U.N was even stupider seeing as how in the game's first opening they are literally face to face with Sonic in the Helicoptor, yet make the mistake anyways. 

Don't forget the fans use this with Silver too. Ignoring the fact that it is night time, in which ones vision can be hinder depending on how dark the area is. Sonic was in the same area at the time, but left when Amy showed up. I may not be that much of a Sonic fan anymore, but this is a post I can agree with. It shows a good amount of hypocrisy in character shamming that goes around in fandoms. And what's worse is that its always the female. 

Females have to be a specific type of something, other wise the fandom overreacts on their actions and poorly misunderstand the actual context. Which is sexist.

Once someone in a particular fandom uses these exaggerated context to form their hatred it becomes a trend, making the people who use the same reason just look like their statements have no substance. Here are some examples of character shaming.

-Female yells at main protagonist: Oh she's automatically a bitch. Nevermind the actual reason behind it, just her screaming=bitch..
-She wears revealing clothes: She's a slut, nevermind that clothing has nothing to do with any term of judgmental factors.
-She's kidnapped: PRINCESS PEACH CLONE! (Once again ignoring any reason behind it.)
-She's not action dominate, well she's useless, she's not good at all because she don't fit my standards.
-Females have tempers=BITCH! (According to this logic women can't get angry, there's a thing as overreacting yes, but just a temper in general?)

Proves my point, they take the smallest things, overreact to the context, and turn it into trends. I've even heard strawman arguments being used.

I have completely forgotten that Eggman did do that.   
I always found the "Amy is blind" comments to be annoying as the "Big is stupid",  the"Sally is a slut",  the "Shadow is an emo"  and the "Cosmo/Cream are useless" comments.
