Appearance:

Sporting a dark coat, Lorcan fades wonderfully into the shadows. His coat is wavy and curly, cascading down his back and shoulders and pooling under his belly, face and neck. His mane is long and curly as well as his tail. His rack is impressive and large to match his tall, well muscled body. His hair is kept meticulously clean and he always smells of fresh herbs. He has a few notable scars, but his most prominent one rests on his face. It drags upwards from his mouth, stopping just below the eye on his left side. It gives him this permanent smirk. He was attacked by a hawk as a child while he tried to tame it and it tore open his face. He wears a trinket around his neck imbued with black magic. He commands two fireflies to sit in the sockets, causing it to glow. He only calls them up when he is performing magic and when he is journeying in the dark. He wraps his antlers and tail with sinew to add strength to them. Around his front left leg, he bandages up his knee, often times sliding herbs and other items in there when he is traveling. These and all his bandages are made from sinew. He has the large canine tooth from his first wolf kill pierced in his left eyebrow.

History: Born to a loving family, Lorcan had it good. With both his parents strong in magic, he grew up around ghosts. Training with others ans socializing was always a struggle for him but he was always happiest when talking with the dead. They would have the most amazing stories to tell and give him keys to secrets of their world. He found out a little later in life that he had possession magic and promptly decided his magical companions and familiars. He tried to immediately tame a large bird. Thinking it was a raven, he felt no fear but as he came closer, it was apparent that the beast was no raven. It looked to be a large hawk and it was quite angry with having its mind played with. It tore open the skin on the side of his face, hooking its talons into his mouth and pulling skyward. He was made fun for it for years afterwards, pushing him closer to the undead and the ghosts. After a conversation with his grandfather, he confessed his fear of birds but he still wanted something to have as a companion in battle. His granddad chuckled and told him that bugs could be scarier than any bird in battle. After careful consideration, he chose bees and wasps. Not as common as the raven but just as threatening, they appealed perfectly to his sense of comfort.
