Drengr-
In Old Norse, for both men and women, to be 'drengr', called as, described by drengr is to mean warrior, with reckless courage, and true honor, fairness. Fair even in intense conflicts. Drengr was used in the ancient old norse sagas and was a true honor. An endless courage. Honor- drengskapr.
In modern Icelandic some use the word drengr to refer to 'lad'.
Baatar-
Baatar in mongolian and related languages refers to true warrior, as well as a true, timeless hero, famous for names and place names. The epic hero Jangar of both Kalmykia and mongol tribes is described as truly baatar, as one with strength, conituance that does not give up. Heroic especially for others and a greater purpose, overall brave. Baatar is popular for names and baatar describes even all the heroes of our day.
