I'm teaching this photoshop and web design class right now, and I totally just had all of my students practice coloring on Sailor Moon coloring blanks. (Obscure characters so I didn't scandalize anyone with miniskirts or anything like that.)

That having done, I felt like I wanted to do an edit, so I spent practically all of yesterday that I wasn't working doing this edit. I'm super pleased with it. I've always wanted to do a starry-shaded edit, but it always seemed to me that it went with cell style shading. Not my style. Seeing the new covers for the Japanese DVDs, which used air brushing, inspired me. My shading and light source isn't the most consistent, but it's pretty.

I did this piece kind of as a celebration that I'll be starting up rewriting Seasons soon, now renamed to "Celestial Revolutions." There will be some big conceptual changes, being that they are no longer season senshi, but sailors of fictitious commets. I think I'll call them the Kisetsusei Senshi.

Sailor Autumn is now Sailor Ayisei.
Sailor Winter is now Sailor Hiesei.
Sailor Spring is now Sailor Versei.
Sailor Summer is now Sailor Asansei.
