You want to end this step with a cone shaped thing, so you sew the belly piece to the other edge of the body piece, just like you did on the other side, but when you get to the top of the belly point, just keep going. There' you'll be sewing body-edge to body-edge.
Does that help at all?

um, i wasn't so sure of the part were you went "turn the owl right side out" because i thought it was already right side out...
could we sew the large body piece together and then after you turn it right side out sew/glue the tummy on it?

That would give you a really skinny owl. You work from the inside so that the raw seams wind up on the inside and unseen when you turn it right-side-out.
What I mean by "right sides together" all the time is that when you pin and sitch, the sides of the fabric that you want on the outside should be sandwitched facing each other.

Ah, i fugured it out using another tutorial i found.
heres the link->[link]
I don't know if this is yours, but it seems to be the same owl, so maybe if some one else asks you can give this tutorial to them?

Or I can improve my own tutorial.
The owl is a very typical Japanese plushie, so I'm not surprised to see another tutorial.

lol you can do that too,
okay,
i made a owl!~
it seems that your pattern is good for soft ball sized owls, the tutorial in the link i gave you is good for tennis ball sized owls. maybe you should put that in the tutorial?

The ones I always make are good for ping-pong ball sized owls. It depends on how big you print out the pattern.

Okay, that would make a difference. Then the size would depend on your screen resolution. What resolution do you use?

It's part of your computer settings. On a PC, you can get there through your desktop by rightclicking on attributes/personalize, then check out display settings.

Brilliant! I was wondering how you did your bottoms. ^^ Seems much more reasonable than other solutions I'd come across. And I've got a whole jar of little rocks, looking for a good home. (In an owl bum...?) XD

I see some Japanese ones cut a little circle and then glue it over the gathered bum, but I don't much like the effect myself. ^^
