After going out to try to stop Doomsday, Goku finds himself in the city ruins. Looking around, he saw alot of defeated heroes, and he wanted to make sure if they were alive.After checking on all of them, he asks the concious ones about this monster. They inform him that thing is an unstoppable force, and even the strongest of them had troubles dealing with it. While they warned him that this beast might be to much, even for him, Goku couldn't help getting excited to fight that creature, although he claims he will battle Doomsday to save the world, and heads of.
Following the destruction, he eventually finds Doomsday, but not alone. Superman, who was still fighting him, hangs in Doomsday's grip, nearly tired and badly hurt. Seeing that even he has nearly been defeated, Goku realises he won't be fighting for fun, but for survival, not only to him, but for everyone else's aswell.
Doomsday took notice that a new face has arrived. He tosses away the badly hurt Superman, and prepares to face this new challenge.
