why do people like him. i saw him review the first pokemon movie making fun of how it doesn't make sense when he hasn't even watched the series which is requred to know what going on. do people just watch him scratch his head and complain about stuff he hasn't even bothered to try and understand. no hostility directed toward you if you can be entertained by him but i really hate the guy.

1. He did that movie on request from people that knew he haven't watched the show
2. It's the first pokemon movie. You should be able to watch it without knowing the show. You don't have to know the EU to watch Star Wars

How many reviews have you seen of him? If you only saw the Pokemon review, which really is one of his worse ones, I tell you, watch the "Batman & Robin" review, or "Biodome". That are some of his best, in my opinion.
If you really have seen only this one take a look at other reviews of him, before you judge about him and his fans.

Not really judging the fans. They can enjoy If they want its just this guy. Maybe it's because he does his persona well but he sounds too serious for me to enjoy it. Just irritates the fire out of me. Not really interested in looking into him more, sorry man.

Hey, I'm just a fan not a crusader. If people don't like him or the AVGN it's no problem. This is a free world and everyone can do what he wants.
In my opinion he's just a great actor who loves movies and is really much into character.
But if someone says, he has seen only one episode of him about something they enjoy and don't like him because they feel offended just because of that I just say "hey look some other reviews, maybe you like that other one".

While I disagree with Nostalgia Critic on Mortal Kombat (i think it's the best vg movie, and one of the only good ones too), I do agree with him on the theme song kicking ass.

I was disappointed that the Doctor Who movie theme wasn't mentioned, that was a pretty FUCK YEAH! Theme song, the TV versions are good but that was all orchestral and booming and amazing.
