If you ask me, Metal Sonic should’ve been the titular Black Knight in “Sonic and the Black Knight”. He could’ve made several appearances in the story, being enigmatic and mysterious, maybe even giving Sonic and Caliburn a cryptic warning about Merlina, and then, after the final battle against the Dark Queen, the Black Knight would challenge Sonic to a duel, and that would be the true final battle of the game.
