The Daleks: The greatest foe of the space-traveling Timelord named ‘’The Doctor’’, and most dangerous creatures in the whole universe (of the Doctor Who series that is).

The Dalek race first appeared in December of 1963 in the second episode of the DW Show overall, which has the same name as this picture (although it has other names like ‘’The Mutants’’ and ‘’The Dead Planet’’)- they have been very merciless and cold toward every species that they believe inferior, and will always aim to EXTERMINATE them no matter the situation.
The Daleks have been praised & gained popularity throughout the years- they even starred in a 1965 film titled ‘’Dr. Who and the Daleks’’, which has nothing to do with the show except the Daleks and the Tardis.
They regained popularity with American fans (yes, this si-fi show is actually British) with the 2005- revival of the show.

Personally, as a mixed-Whovian, I do like these rebots… I mean… weird goop-squids in tanks: because they are classic space-robot villains, and they don’t contain much of the weird horror elements that the series sometimes would go into for unnecessary reasoning.
They do kind of get annoying and obnoxious at times, which makes me beg for the battle droids to come in- but I do tolerate them during other days. They can be funny at times and it is fun to impersonate them. Also, before I was fully aware of DW, I saw a picture of a Dalek in a robot book.

I did my best with the art to try and make it resemble a DVD cover for the classic Doctor-Who episodes, (speaking of which, I really want to see Genesis of the Daleks) which you can see while searching Netflix or Google the images (and maybe wiki).
I really thought the green would stand out and make it more menacing and deep-space like (that, and green is my favorite color). While the black around it makes it feel like space & darkness/evil.
I used reference for the Dalek-troops, and made them all different but slightly scary. There is also the other Daleks, the ship/UFO, the T.A.R.D.I.S, and The Fourth Doctor (Played by Tom Baker, the 4th one from 1974-1981).
