Description The image you see here is my $3,000 tuba from mom and dad as a birthday present I received when I was in the eighth grade. Once again, it's another Vector-Based Imaging project which was a reflective image project. Nothing special about this piece. Just like the Suave piece I used the pen tool and added some color.

Enjoy.

Lol, one year late comment but whatever (I r zombeh, I suppose). That's a good looking tuba. I don't have one of my own but at school we just got new sousaphones. At 5' 5'' I look like a child carrying a boulder. And to think, I have to march in the Rose Parade with it! XD Lol.

Thanks! Wow. That's impressive you can carry a sousaphone at your size. Hope the Rose Parade goes well.

China unblocked the Rose Parade so the original 350 million viewers was boosted to, at best, 1.85 billion. Wow.

I've actually been in an orchestra, but it was more of a student thing. As for a career, I don't see that happening even though I do enjoy playing it.

Nice...I was invited into our top Ensemble to play Tuba. I play the Trombone, Basstrombone, and some Contrabass Trombone. $3000 is really cheap, the price of my "new" Trombone is about that. What size mouthpiece do you use?

SonicHomeboy In reply to DancingSpacePotato [2008-05-02 01:58:34 +0000 UTC]

Hmm. I want to say it's an 18B or C mouthpiece. Bach that is.

I'm using a huge Schilke 52E2 for my Double Basstrombone, I just need to find out what I'll need when I start Tuba. Is that what you started with?

It's a Yamaha BB flat tuba.

BBb? so... whats the lowest note you can get on it?

SonicHomeboy In reply to squanpie [2008-02-20 23:55:47 +0000 UTC]

Hmm. I think I've gone low as a low E or Eb.
