And it's time for one more illustration, part of the "Miraculous Snapshots" series. Here's number eight, everyone... Juleka Couffaine, or should I say, Corbeau Noire! Drawn by Chocolateb0mb, this one is the eighth of fourteen, in this series.

I love a lot of things in my AU, and one of them is my version of Juleka. When I began to write, I knew that I didn't want her to be that shy Goth she's in the series. I wanted her to be a little wilder, while still having a little bit of that shyness. I also knew that I was going to have her dating Rose, because that's something that will never happen in the series, because the series is aimed at kids (lousy excuse, if you ask me. With so many kids' shows nowadays depicting gay and lesbian relationships, I don't see why Miraculous has to be different... but hey, that's me). Regarding her alter-ego, Corbeau Noire, I knew that just like Rose, Juleka was to get one kwami that was a bird, and the obvious choice was a raven. I was a little afraid that people might think that her alter-ego in my AU would just be a copy of Chat Noir, but I managed to make everyone realize that that was not the case, thanks to Juleka's powers.

The background for her is the Conciergerie located on the west of the Ile de la Cité, formerly a prison but presently used mostly for law courts. It was part of the former royal palace, the Palais de la Cité.

So tell me, doesn't Juleka looks mysterious in this drawing as Corbeau Noire? What do you guys think?
