Yes I read it all last year and recently a couple of months ago. He still did it regardless of the Capitol. He still teamed up with the career tributes in the 74th games. If he wanted to protect her that much then he should have stuck with her. He manipulated, lied and attacked Katniss so yeah I don't like him and he isn't gentle, he is cunning.

He teamed up with them so that he COULD protect her... doing that kept him alive, so that he could help her in the later stages of the game. And the only time he was trying to hurt her was when the Capitol Hijacked him!
I like him.... he and gale are both well suited to Katniss.

He teamed up with them so he could protect HIMSELF. If he wanted to protect her than he should have teamed up with her from the begining and helped through everything but he chose the careers. He fucked everything up for her by saying he loved her. Yes I understand that he did that help them both but the way he did it was not fair. The second time, there was no need for him to say she was pregnant that screwed over everything for her just so he could shock the audience.
