I know I’m skipping forward in Kakabel and Gadreel’s story just because I can’t wait any longer ^^

Morning light cast rays of warm sunlight across the back of the large bay stallion sleeping in the grass. Toned muscles rippled over across his neck and shoulders as he silently stirred. All was quiet and peaceful. He raised his head and glanced back to look at the two foals snuggles together beside him. Their tiny bodies rose and fell in unison was they slept.

His body tenseness as he heard the soft thud of approaching hooves. His ears pulled back and his eyes darkened as he moved to stand up.

“Relax Gad, it’s only me.” The familiar voice of his mate eased his anxiety as he turned to see Kakabel approaching them. She looked as she always did. Her black appaloosa coat gleaming in the sunlight revealing her powerful muscles and her silvery blue eyes glistening like stars in the night sky.

“I didn’t think you would be back so soon.” Gadreel said settled back down next to the foals so as not to dislodge them. “I thought you had a meeting?” He asked watching her lower her head as she stopped in front of the twins.

“It was just a boring, standard war council meeting. Araton can handle anything important and Ezekiel promised to fill me in afterwards.” She whispered softly nuzzling the colt gentle with her nose. “I couldn’t focus anyways. I was worried about my babies.” She said as the colt slowly stirred. He opened his eyes revealing the same silvery blue eyes he shared with his mother.

“They’re perfectly safe with me.” Gadreel said watching the colt blink repeatedly in the morning light.

“You’re the one that worries me the most.” She teased giving him a playful smile. These days Kakabel spent most of her time on Earth with Gadreel and the twins but every once and a while duty called and she had no choice but to return. She had never thought she would be a mother let alone a worrisome one but ever since she had had Cassiopeia and Draco she hated leaving.

“Haha, very funny.” Gadreel snorted looking away to hide his own smile.“ I can take are of myself and our children.” he said clambered yo his feet and turning to face the mare. She moved forward and nuzzled him giving her a fond smile.

“I know you can take care of yourself and them but that doesn’t stop me from worrying.” She said closing her eyes and leaning her face against his shoulder.
