Description
This is the first boss you fight in Monster World IV, and...uhh I guess she's some sort of caterpillar or centipede monster girl or something? Being the first boss in the game she's ridiculously easy to fight, but she's got a pretty cool design.As I explained in the WIP of this, the only references I had of her were her in-game sprites as no official art exists (there weren't even any concept sketches of her in the Monster World Complete Collection on PS2). I did deviate from the in-game design a little bit by making her lower half one segment longer (though it may not be easy to notice), and I made her veil a bit smaller because I wanted to show her with an evil smirk. Despite the frustration from lack of references I'm happy to have finally given her the first piece of fanart.
This is also the first thing I've done in Paint Tool SAI, and I have to say it's about bloody time I've started using it.

It probably is, though I've only seen her mentioned by that name by her spritesheet on the Spriters Resource so I'm not entirely sure.

The ESRB weren't so sure what she was either when describing the enemies and bosses that Asha fights in the game. They described her as "a caterpillar woman".
Awkwardly enough, they called the harpy mid-boss a "winged man" even though it's clearly a woman.

To be fair I also believed the harpy was a man, but I was like 4 years old at that time.
