I have a bit of a history with Rayman 2. I had not played it when it originally came out for a variety of platforms until I got the DS port of it in 2005 and...well it wasn't a great port and it did leave a not-so-good impression on me. Years later I did play far better versions of the game thanks to recommendations by my partner, specifically the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions, and I have a lot more of an appreciation for the game now.

Though from my original experience with Rayman 2, Ly has left quite the impression on me. She's very whimsical with her looks and outside of Rayman 2 has been criminally underutilised by Ubisoft (her appearances in Rayman M/Arena and Rayman 3 were scrapped, and has been relegated to handheld oddities), and so after having played better versions of Rayman 2 in recent years I got the idea of doing a TF sequence where a character transforms into Ly, and chose Linda, an OC belonging to HydroPopplio with his permission, as a candidate for it by having her put on Ly's suit and gain her powers, becoming her. I had started on this TF back in 2021, but had left it unfinished until I got the inspiration to continue it two years later. Given how underused Ly is, I would love to do more with her again.

I have also made an alt with Ly's suit colours from Japanese versions of Rayman 2 which can be seen here:
