Description
One of my old pieces for last summer.This is my TMM OC, Mew Raspberry (or Razuberii). I had made some changes to her, only made her hair longer. The outfit and stuff are the same.
The black floral design in the background took a while, it's suppose to be raspberries. And there's also a black jaguar in the background.

The only traditional I do is sketching xD I hate making lineart which is why I want a tablet. I'm still learning the whole CG art thing. I keep practicing though

I'm learning how to CG as well. It's hard for me to get the coloring to look nice. Keep practicing and then you'll get better ^^ Oh, you started with CG first. Does that make it harder?

I'm asking for one for my birthday^^ I don't want a party so then my parents will end up spending more on gifts *coughbiggertabletcough* and less on party stuff. I have two months to wait though -__-
It's soooo hard to make the lineart soft! I keep trying and I don't know how to do it. I also want to make those smooth strokes but it's really complicated. You can do it with a tablet using the brush tool...I haven't been able to figure it out without a tablet though ><
I don't think it makes it harder, I just think that if I started traditionally, I would understand more about blending and color and also know that good art takes time. When I color my art on photoshop, I always rush and it always ends up looking like crap xD

Two months isn't so bad. At least it's not half a year like me XDD Makes sense, they'd be able to save up for the present that you really want. I'd like to get a tablet, but I don't think my parents would spend that much on me.
Ohh, yeah. The tablets do make the lineart really nice and smooth. I haven't done much lineart with a mouse XD
That's true. You would understand more about blending and color if you started out with traditional. Well, you can always try now :] Yeah, rushing can lead it to look crappy DX I know what you mean, I tend to do that when I want to get it done fast XP

I use the pen tool in photoshop to make my lineart. It's not really lineart by mouse, but it's close enough -_-;;
I wish I had more patience! That and more time, the only two things I need...other than skill lmao. I love shading for some reason though...I used to hate it till I found my own style, now I look forward to it xD

Patience is an important thing when it comes to drawing and coloring. And time is definitely a big factor D: Sorry to hear that you don't have much time. School is an evil thing for taking away my time XP I'm glad to hear that you love shading now, it's a lot better when you've found your own style

The pen tool is exactly like the brush, but you can do straight and curved lines evenly without having to move the mouse to drag the brush.

My friend just reminded me that we are going to Mega Con...Now I'm stuck between buying a costume or getting a tablet >< Both are around 100 dollars...and I doubt they will spend that much on me.

I love experimenting! It's so much fun and there are always twists and turns on how to do different things. I also love reading tutorials to see how some people do their own things.
