Oh this is an intresting drawing you made ^^

I really admire how you did the water xP that shiny stuff looks cool and the ship really gives it that azn old hong kong boat feeling xD but it's kinda weird what it's doing in front of modern buildings xD

Thank you.

The boat looks that way for a reason. It's really more symbolic than realistic- it represents the flag of Hong Kong and the tourist industry.

You're developing a very unique, interesting, and entertaining style to your art.

Bold colors and distortion of normal perspective really give this piece a mesmerizing feel.

One thing you might want to try when working on a future painting is to not outline the buildings and see if this adds to the feel of the piece. You might like the results, or go back to the way your work now if you're not crazy about it. I just think that a lot of the othere shapes are more flowing, such as the greenery in the background being one, that doing so with the buildings might add to the effect.

I really appreciate the critique.

I must admit, the buildings were the hardest part and I did them last. While I was going for an overal realistic look, some things are intentionally out of whack. Like the Chinese junk- the sails are a tribute to the flag of Hong Kong and the overall shape is the symbol of the HK tourist industry.

I've never done scenery before, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

You're welcome

Buildings can really be hard, especially when trying to get them in any sort of perspective. Unfortunately, I don't know of any tricks for buildings other than practice.

I'm glad you're happy with it, the piece does look very good and with practice I'm sure you'll get even better!
