Description Hm, I don't usually draw Harry Potter. I guess that's why he's never showed up.
Percy is in praetor garb for no good reason.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians , Artemis Fowl , and Harry Potter (c) Rick Riordan, Eoin Colfer, and J.K. Rowling, respectively

I just haven't touched HP much since I read the 7th book back in '07. Man that was a long time ago o3o

ikr i forgot about it for a loong time then re-read it over the summer. They may be better than you remember- they always manage to surprise me! so if you have time(not saying you do) you should try re-reading them

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-22 14:07:04 +0000 UTC]

Since I don't have time, that probably won't happen for a while. I can definitely finish an HP book in less than a week, but the problem is that fandom and fanfiction and fanart come along with reading the books. So while I might possibly have time to read the 7 books, I most definitely don't have time to be involved with it afterwards LOL

Ik... books take so long to read! which is sometimes a good thing but there's like 15 different books I want to read and not enough time... fitting in Harry Potter would be impossible for me so it'd probably harder for you. Just... I guess put it on a reading list if you have one or just remeber it when you don't have a book to read

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-23 01:27:40 +0000 UTC]

I like long books because there's a lot to the story. But yes, it does take a while. Sigh.. the never-ending to-read list. I don't have an official one. If I do, I don't remember where I put it.

Oh you better believe I have less time XPP

yeah I bet. I do have more hw than middle school but you probably have LOADS more I can't wait and yeah I don't really have physical reading list but I sorta have one in my head. Luckily I finished one today so one more down! Sounds like a game or something at this point...

mhmm. I don't remember if I thought it was a huge jump from 8th to 9th grade, but summer school before 9th grade was killer @w@ I took Honors Bio and we had to read/do hw for 3-4 chapters each night, with a test every single day. So that class was a lot of work. During the school year it was okay.

Awesome!

Me (to Mom): Sooo.. do you ever think that [my two little brothers] feel pressured to do well in school since me and [my oldest younger brother] have straight A's, 5's on all AP exams, and almost-full-ride scholarships to university?
Mom: Them? Pressured? HA. No.
Mom: They barely have any hw. Are you kidding me?

Granted, the middle brother is now in 11th grade/IB, so.. idk. That's a lot more work.

Porsheee In reply to Sorcaron [2013-09-23 22:58:16 +0000 UTC]

People at my school can't even take Honors Biology until like 11th grade or something... you must be like one of those super smart people who like do Geometry Honors is like 8th grade. What's it like being super smart? I wouldn't know....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-24 03:51:28 +0000 UTC]

Tsk tsk. What school does that? Unless you're one of those schools which requires a physics > chemistry > biology sequence. I encountered some of those while at college and thought it was weird.

Yep. Of course Geometry is for 8th grade.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Porsheee In reply to Sorcaron [2013-09-24 04:18:53 +0000 UTC]

we're taking geometry in 9th grade, 8th was for algebra 1. Some people did skip algebra 1 and went strait to geometry Honors in 8th though. Either you're remembering the grades slightly wrong or it was a lot more common at your school. Or just the way of teaching has changed, like it so often does

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-24 04:26:18 +0000 UTC]

Hm, I wouldn't skip Algebra I... but 'not repeating pre-algebra,' I would understand.

Ha! Do not dare to test my memory. I have a very specific memory of what classes I took when.Β  It might take me a while to remember, but that's besides the point. XP

I'm just teasing. The 'average' classes to take were Algebra I in 8th grade and Geometry in 9th grade, but of course, we (my brothers and I and most of my friends) would of course take Geometry as 8th graders. And if you're in some other school, then 'average' would be Geometry in 8th grade, ...and Calculus by 10th grade.. ..and apparently if you're from China, you take 4th year university math as a 1st year.. whut.....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Porsheee In reply to Sorcaron [2013-09-25 01:26:01 +0000 UTC]

but no one as I've heard has taken Geometry in 8th grade. Just either Geometry Honors or Algebra 1

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-25 12:30:31 +0000 UTC]

I wish I could remember everything related to school... I'd be a bit smarter and I know some funny stuff probably happened that i don't remember But it's ok. It's part of growing up. Letting your memories go... though I wish I could just cling to them. Memories are what makes us and I wish I could remember everything except shots of course. I hate shots...

Hope so. Good luck on that! And yes, studying is a pain ==;; Especially when you have to work for 8 hrs straight to finish hw for the same class that you have a test in. AND THEN you can start studying at 10pm the night before.

true... i bet if I looked a the odds I'd like die. I already decided I would not-WOULD NOT- do a small calculation in my head of the probability of me becoming a writer, nonetheless famous. It would probably sound and be depressing or just so far away I wouldn't care. Either way

YUP i am screwed in that case but if you ignore the numbers at least it seams slightly possible to become a writer, or at least a good writer, I guess if I started in 6th grade. As long as I know where I'm going

I don't know which one yet... my ghost one... my demon one... my god-filled one... my parallel universe one... a collection of stories... or most probably one I haven't started yet!!! xP it'll be a while before I publish one. Wait... you know the book The Outsiders? that was written by a 16 year old...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-09-30 04:27:52 +0000 UTC]

I'm going to guess the last one, unless you can revamp an earlier one into something even better.
Anyways, the first 3 sound like stories I stay away from. Parallel universes is always fun though. I'm attempting to integrate that into one of mine, but idk how it's working out.

I've heard of it. That's impressive.

Porsheee In reply to Sorcaron [2013-09-30 23:36:53 +0000 UTC]

yeah. Well who said my writing's for everyone?? Plus I think my demon one is the best anyways since my friends and I can talk about it tons and stuff and it's more fun. She keep incorporating TV shows I don't really know into it though. I can't watch that much TV.. but that one's kinda cool

Sorcaron In reply to Porsheee [2013-10-01 22:08:06 +0000 UTC]

yes, we definitely had a conversation on this. And you should read it!!! it's really interesting how they're different perspectives on the same story. I've though of doing that before then though "nah, to much work." but yeah, it's really cool

i bet you could! It really is a cool concept. Especially if it's two sides of a war(not like Ender's shadow though)
