AU!Prince Kai (Well obviously. I mean, who would wear epaulettes in the Third Era? XD)This is the first AU!Kai that I drew, but the most recently finished since I just never completed it... So.. those 'fancy scribbles designs' weren't on there originally; they only came after I got carried away and drew the 'patterns' on the hopefully-will-soon-be-colored-and-uploaded-if-only-Photoshop-would work-Lunar-Chronicles-AU drawing that I'm working on. So then I felt obligated to be consistent.
The one-shoulder cape is inspired by the Shitennou in Pretty Guardian Salior Moon. Be glad I didn't imitate Tuxedo Mask Prince Endymion's GINORMOUS epaualettes. Be glad. Very very glad. o_____o;;
What is this? Why do I actually know about Sailor Moon? Cuz you know, I haven't watched it since I was like 3 years old. *cough* I did watch it a few weeks ago in order to become more 'culturally aware' er, to understand the background and connection/inspiration to The Lunar Chronicles. And because Cinder was initially inspired by Sailor Jupiter's actor, Mew Azama . ;D

Okay, for starters: I am really digging his jacket/coat/what-the-hell-you'd-call-it (I am so eloquent). Basically his entire outfit looks fantastic. As does the shading. And for some reason I want to stroke his face. His face his lovely.
That aside, I'm not sure if it's his arms or his legs, but something looks... off. I don't know if it's because his upper arms are too long or his legs are too narrow, but something looks a little weird here.
...Actually, it's totally the arms. Sora, you gave him Slenderman arms! D:

I have no idea who Slenderman is, but when I tried to look it up it kinda creeped me out.

Like, is it still likeable and accessible in a modern context? Like a lot of classic novel have not "aged well" because they really show their age and it can be really jarring for the reader. Kind of like that. (A new anime? Jeez o___o)

ah gotchu. Ummm, aside from updating technology, I don't really seem much of an issue.. I think.. I mean, it's probably set in the early 90's, so it shouldn't seem that different I think.. The live action (which is the only thing I watched because, while the live action was bearable, I don't think I can stand to watch that much of the anime. xDD) was made in 2003, so they did upgrade the tech for that.

This one's not even related to PS! haha, I shaded it in pencil because I knew there was very little chance of making PS work. ;;OTL On the other hand, the lack of PS/ability to color is delaying at least 2 LC pieces!!

haha ikr? Can you figure out what the outfit is?? My best guess is that you can draw a circle using that string as a guide, which would be a really nerdy thing and not at all fit for clothing, but it's just WEIRD. XD

Ummmm kind of. I don't like doing big edits on stuff lines that were drawn traditionally because it's really hard to make it still look like pencil, especially if it already has shading on it. :\ Editing something that's already digital might be easier since things are on different layers.

Oh yes! I love that scene! I actually had sketched out some thumbnails for that over the summer, but I didn't get very far. You'll have to help me figure out how that scene would play out in a fairy tale AU though haha.
I already have different scene which I AU-ified that refers to Cinder being a blacksmith of sorts xD I was going to post it earlier, but then I figured I'd color it if I already put that much effort in.. but then PS isn't opening... so... We'll see how desperate I get.
