"Psychic Duelist. They were two simple words that rang like a taboo in the world of dueling.

Whispers of rumors said they had strange and sometimes even dangerous powers. Some had the power to see spirits others... others weilded the terrifying ability to turn the damage from their opponets lifepoints into a physical pain.

She bore this power and this name. It was because of this Izayoi Aki lived a life of an outcast on the streets of Neo Domino, and became the feared Black Rose Witch. Forcing herself to accept the reckless damage her power unleashed....

Forcing herself to like such destruction as she felt she had no choice.

Aki thought herself a monster for the longest time. Yet, soon came to know others like her walked these same streets. Through the Arcadia Movement, she found others like her and the one whom lived as she had and knew whom she could trust: Divine.

Yet all of it changed when she met Fudo Yusei. One who lived the life of an outcast in Neo Domino thanks to the mark that branded him. He spoke words to her that she had never heard before...

"... Love yourself."

She wasn't ready then to embrace all that she was. Who could embrace a monster like her?

Yet, after the fall of the Arcadia Movement and Divine's supposed death, Aki faced this head on. She fought at first. Angrily Dueling Yusei, and unleashing her power on him as well as the family who had abandoned her.

Yet amongst the chaos, she felt her anger crack, and in that moment something was born: the ability to control her powers for the first time since their manifestation.

Through this she vowed to protect those she loved. And in so doing changed the name of Psychic Duelists forever."
