COLOURED VERSION November Hallows-Grimm and Raven Hallows-Grimm. Circa 2006 and 2005 respectively.This was done with a Gpen nib and ink--kindly lent to me by ~MEKIseki WHO KEEPS LENDING ME THINGS, OMG GIVE HER SOME LOVE.
They are brothers. November is older by two years and a half (or so, I can never decide D<). The first time the two of them discovered that their powers synchronized together was when reading a book. November can manipulate shadows; Raven breathes life into things. Here is one of those times when they are becoming more adept at bringing life to their imagination. Sometimes the extent of Raven's power startles November a little--hence his expression. They're having fun

An outstanding and surreal depiction you have here. Everything from the Koi fish swimming forth from the gentle locks of the character Raven to the smooth and intricate details in their clothing material as it drapes gently over them both, all seems to call out to the viewer. Great work.

Perhaps you could try using a very light blue for their skin to better express how they are really a part of their minds and use orange for the spots on their skin?
