holy derp, I finished this in like... JANUARY... or some really early month, and totally forgot to upload it. Did I? In any case, I can't find it in my gallery, so.

Sketchbook assignment in grade 12. The prompt word was "Giant". Hence, giant mushrooms. And then a little fairy girl playing a spider-web harp. And then another little fairy child drumming on a peach pit shell. And then another fairy boy magically playing a trumpet flower like... a trumpet. Finally, a cartoony cricket as their conductor because crickets have such snazzy black waistcoats.

This is the smallest orchestra I've ever seen. Get it? Smallest? Since there's only three of them? And they're tiny? AHAHAHHA-- /shot

A continuation of the idea of fairy kids and music from way back when. When my conductor grinded through sections with the cellos, us violinists kind of sit there and twiddle our thumbs - in my case, I doodled fairy kids playing instruments. yay~

I love pencil crayons because you can get a subtle depth of colour with them that is so hard to layer with paints or ink. Of course, a photograph tends to bring all the pencil marks into sharp relief. Ah. Win some, lose some. ;_;
