Description
Formerly a C-Block Venator serving under the Galactic Republic, the Ventorious would serve proudly since her launch up until the battle of Coruscant, where despite her fierce fighting, she would be heavily damaged and forced to retreat behind the Coruscanti moon of Centax-2 for the remainder of the battle. After the last of the Separatist fleet had been destroyed or forced to retreat, the Ventorious would be forced to return to Kuat for extensive repairs, however halfway through her journey to Kuat her secondary hyperdrive gave out, forcing the damaged Venator to exit hyperspace. After being tended to by a mobile repair barge, she was deemed too damaged to be fully repaired and instead would be towed towards the nearby uninhabited Varnimyr System, where she would be set down on the blizzarded moon of Pruinaum and left to rot away, abandoned and forgotten.
Over a decade later, during a scouting mission lead by the Cobalt Talon rebel cell to establish a Rebel base, they would come across the preserved but still badly damaged Ventorious, partially buried under the snow. After nearly 4 years of sporadic repairs whenever the Cobalt Talons could afford the time and materials, the Ventorious would finally take off under her own power, with small mounds of snow still piled up on her hull, she would begin her slow ascent towards orbit. Finally in space for the first time in over 15 years, she would remain in orbit for a further 5 months, receiving some final tune-ups and patches before pointing her bow away from the Varnimyr system. With a bit of a shudder, her hyperdrive roared to life and she propelled herself into hyperspace.
The Cerulean Talon cell would rename themselves as the Ventorious cell, now with the Ventorious herself as their mobile headquarters, the Ventorious Cell would continue growing as multiple smaller cells slowly began being included to the fleet. The Ventorious would be among the over 50 Rebel starships to respond to Mon Mothma's Declaration of Rebellion over Dantooine, being one of the last ships to arrive. Afterwards the Ventorious Cell would be integrated into the greater Rebel Alliance, being reformed into the Ventorious Fleet.
