It's been roughly a year since I've photographed 'Oliver'. It was built in the 1950's for around $100 according to my Grandfather.The tractor is located on my families private property in Priddis, Alberta.

I love oliver now! I wonder if you would allow me to paint him! I will of course dedicate it to you! But something about the colours just grabs me! I feel compelled! But will understand if I cant! 😭

Ummm, In the interest of accuracy.......that is an Oliver 'Super 99', production of which began in 1954, 25 years after the start of the Depression.

No, not at all. I did some research on it about a year ago and placed it in the 40's to 50's category until my Grandfather said it was bought in the 30's. I figured he must be right since he would have been in his 20's around that time.

I'd be inclined to paint-out the radio tower on the left and the weird dark cloud splotch in the upper left. Otherwise, this is a piece I think you'd be hard-pressed to improve. Well-done!

Great old tractor that's seen better days (haven't we all?)
But your data is a bit off, as this is a Super 99 and would not have been built until about 1957. It has a GM 2-stroke diesel engine.
