Hi! The first things I notice about this image are how absolutely beautiful it is and how well you nailed distances and lighting. I personally love the scene itself because of how powerfully serene it is. You have an emotional blend of colors that help set the tone of the image. Without knowing anything else, this image tells me it is a relieving end to a long day for the character, and yet, there's plenty of world left ahead of her.
You also did an very good job on giving it a painting feel with the strokes of most of the scenery, while still remaining plenty detailed enough that the image pulls the viewer in.
I have constructive notes to point out entirely in the interest of continuous improvement, but I can't stress enough how minor these will be, so no matter how many words, they appear, remember that they are still so small against the grand scheme of what you did absolutely right in the image, that they're barely worth mentioning.
The first has to do with the planet in the distance. I haven't studied the fading effect of a planet much, so I could be wrong here, but based on my knowledge of how light travels, I don't think that the stars that would presumably be behind the planet would be visible due to the planet fading into the right side of the screen. I think the sphere of the planet would occlude these stars and just leave a "blank" spot in the image there where the clouds become more prominent. The stars to the extreme right and outside the planet's perimeter line would still be present, because their light would penetrate the clouds potentially, but I feel the planet would still block those within it's lines. Again, I could be wrong here, but we'd be talking about some weird light refraction rules to get the effect that maybe I just don't know yet. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="19" height="19" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="234" title="Shrug"/>
The only other one worth mentioning at all, and even still barely so, has to do with shadows. Your lighting is absolutely beautiful, and I love the effects of the big star behind the planet, as well as what looks like a more typical sunset on the horizon. Together, they make a beautiful mix of colors, and you did great on the clouds. You also did good on the shading as is, but with some of the objects in the image (namely the left rock in the foreground and the girl), the angles of light would likely cast longer shadows on the ground. Again, you have a lot of the details present that I almost overlooked this. I really had to look for things to be constructive about to find this and the thing about the planet.
As a whole, there's virtually nothing wrong with this image. It has beauty, emotion, great use of lighting and shading, and an excellent choice of colors making for a warm and serene image.
Great work!
