What? I can solve'm it's really easy, just a bunch of little ole' algorithms. I do it all the time.

I just bought one of these recently. I think my record of solving it is 20 times in one day (after memorizing the algorithms of course)

Congrats! I completed my first 4x4 last week, too

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samrizzo In reply to Shinzura [2009-11-29 16:10:11 +0000 UTC]

A 4x4? a 4x4?!
4x4 as in 4 squares on each side? Well, i haven't seen one of those, I'll have to look it up. But i think 3 was enough for me.

Is 4 any harder?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Shinzura In reply to samrizzo [2009-11-29 18:40:44 +0000 UTC]

Well, kinda. You have to solve each center in the right spot and solve each part of the cross individually. That part's a bit repetitive, but easy when you know the algorithms. The REAL bad part is when you're unlucky and you have to do the last step because something's backwards or something. There are so many complex algorithms. I could link you to the site I use if you want

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

samrizzo In reply to Shinzura [2009-11-29 18:44:37 +0000 UTC]

Are some of the algorithms them same for the 3x3?

I Googled different squared sizes of Rubiks cube, i was speechless. a 10x10 Rubiks cube? Who are these people?

Ok, if i do choose to complete a 4x4 i think then i will call it a day. 3x3 was perfect on it's own, now it's nothing but a predecessor. The link would come in handy, unless i can solve it without instuctions.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Shinzura In reply to samrizzo [2009-11-29 20:04:43 +0000 UTC]

Really hard to solve it without instructions. After you solve the crosses, it's basically a 3x3 (unless you have to do another slight move to fix it, which is really annoying). I'm kind of new, so are we allowed to post links to things in comments?

samrizzo In reply to Shinzura [2009-11-29 20:10:18 +0000 UTC]

I should think so, if you're the nervous type i'd say to check in 'Help', but I've done it many times without any type of intervention.
