UPDATED: Added shadings and change the MK30 logo for an official one

Thought I would pay tribute to two of my favorite fighting franchises since they both share over 3 decades of fist flying, hard-hitting, bone-crunching, dragon punching, and spine-ripping entertainment we get behind the screen of arcades and our home TVs.

It's a bit of a shame that we may never get this dream crossover fighting game as long as there are rabid MK fans feel characters will not work without the gory violence only because MKvDC happened; which I wholeheartedly disagree because the MK characters are memorable on their own with their appearances, abilities, and backstories. They can still do awesome stuff without having to mutilate anyone; In fact, Injustice and Injustice 2 (both T-Rated games mind you) proved that before with Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden as guest fighters.

Also even today, I still believe MKvsDCU sounds awesome on paper. The toned-down laughable violence is the least part of the problem why the game is not very good. The half-baked combat gameplay with useless gimmicks overall is what made it didn’t work, but barely any MK fans wanna admit that because "Bwaah! I wanna see Superman's intestines spilling out of his guts!" Look, even though the violence is MK’s core identity, it does not define the characters. They can still do awesome things without commencing to rip out throats if they were in any crossovers. (...oh Elder Gods, please bring in Scorpion in Multiversus!)

That said, I see no reason why we shouldn’t have a T-Rated, finisher-less Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter game. Just worry more on making overall gameplay so fun everyone can enjoy with deep rich in game mechanics with pulling off tricky combos and loads of celebratory content.

But until then, let us keep dreaming and game on
