It was about $475, not including a bag or memory card. (Total it may be about $515 depending on the type of bag you get.) It's totally worth the cost, though. I worked for a summer so I could get mine and I love it.

Wow that is cheap!! I bought my canon EOS T3i for $700 about a month ago, it came with a tripod, 6 different lenses, 6 batteries, and an EOS manual book. I still have no idea how to use it though >.< Did u learn how to photograph from your dad? I just realized how complicated it is!

Yeah, that's why I love amazon lol. I like Canon. Yeah, my dad helped a lot. I learned on his Pentax (can't remember the kind) before switching to a Nikon when I took a class at school. There are tons of tutorials online and I highly recommend classes as well and if you have any questions I'd be happy to help.
