I had to borrow this picture from someone on Flickr! I didn't get any pictures of myself at Dragoncon, so here it is. I really liked it. ^_^All credit goes to this random man taking pictures of us at the parade.

Yep, cardstock, fiberglass, then bondo. I made this in like a 1-2 weeks though, ran out of time to bondo everything to perfection.

Bondo is a trick and a half to work with. What do you find to be the best tool? I was using plastic spoons.

I was using this metal palette knife thing..I think they have bondo spatulas now.

You look great. I had the same problem. I couldn't take pictures because pictures were always being taken of me. Luckily, I was able to find them online like you did. Nice job on the armor.

Oh mine was cardstock? I did it with this stuff called pepakura, then fiberglassed it, but didn't bondo all of it to made it smooth and pretty. No time. I had to do my costumes in a month. >_< I'm looking into molding for next year, though.

Thats really interesting. I'm interested in making armor in other materials. Are there any online resources for constructing armor the way you do? I may rig up a vacuum forming machine but that make take me a while.

Oh there definitely are! head on over to the 405th, our forums? Just go to the creation discussion threads, look for pepakura. Or, go to youtube and type in "How to make halo armour" Indymogul should pop up. Good like quick instructions.

I'm definately going to check out the 405th. Honestly, I'm kinda torn between Halo armor and mandalorian they a two really cool gruops.
