Description "It is true, that which I have revealed to you; there is no God, no universe, no human race, no earthly life, no heaven, no hell. It is all a dream - a grotesque and foolish dream. Nothing exists but you. And you are but a thought - a vagrant thought, a useless thought, a homeless thought, wandering forlorn among the empty eternities!"

inspired by the 1985 claymation dedicated to the life and adventures of Mark Twain, the particular part i make reference to is from the story "The Mysterious Stranger" which entails the travels of three youths who encounter an angel named Satan, not the satan but his nephew, the novella describes various philosophical ideas which borderline on pre-existential notions

so the name of the animation was The Mysterious Stranger? I've been wondering that for a while... and it was never a children's tv cartoon. it was a movie. my dad rented it when we first got our VCR back in the 80s. i liked it for the animation, but don't remember much else.

Yes, Or Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger. It Was A Movie, But It Was Meant For Children. I Personally Think It Is Way To Jacked-up To Be For Kids.

No, the name of the movie with that figure was the Adventures of Mark Twain. It had bits of various books. The mysterious stranger, the diary of Adam, Eve diary, etc...

A freind sent me the link to it on youtube saying it was scary and freaky, I must habe watched it over ten times just to let every word fully sink in. I can't beleive it was banned from childrens TV, personally I think children should be encouaragd to question and think upon the issues and theroies it raises.

yea its good cuz its totally out of copyright so you can read it free online, just check it out through wikipedia, also the image i did is in homage to an animation you can access through youtube just search creepy childrens animation should be the first thing which turns up

i see your familiar with the animation i'm actually in the middle of reading the novella, its really interesting, actually the figure of satan is represented as just an ordinary human but then i just love the representation of the headless figure with the masquerade mask thanks for the comment and the view
